State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) working with the State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO)

(sav.gov.vn) - A delegation of the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) led by Deputy Auditor General Dang The Vinh visited and had bilateral working sessions with the State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO) from March 24-28.

Also participating in the delegation were leaders of  Specialised Audit Department No Ib, Specialised Audit Department No VII, Regional State Audit Office No XII, Regional State Audit Office No VI, Department of International Cooperation...
 
The two State Audit Offices have achieved remarkable results in their bilateral cooperation, especially since signing their agreement in 2008 and renewing it in 2013.

Through the efforts of the two agencies, with the support of the Hungarian International Development Agency, the State Audit of Vietnam has implemented projects to ensure public audit compliance with international standards; professional cooperation; and exchange experiences to improve the methodology of audit activities in the period from 2009-2011.
 
Since 2014, almost every year the State Audit Office of Vietnam has sent civil servants to participate in seminars on enhancing integrity and transparency in the public sector, which are intended to provide professional support to members of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).
 
Within the framework of multilateral cooperation, the State Audit Office of Vietnam and the State Audit Office of Hungary are active contributors to the INTOSAI community and continue to support each other in activities within the INTOSAI framework.
 
Within the framework of multilateral cooperation, the IA of Vietnam and the Hungarian IA are active contributors to the INTOSAI community and actively support each other in activities under the INTOSAI framework.
 
After the bilateral meeting, the two State Audit agencies continued to attend a sharing experience seminar, which was split into two parts. In the first part, the Hungarian SAI shared about the roles and responsibilities of the Hungarian State Audit Office and its reform; SAI Vietnam introduced the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the State Audit Office of Vietnam, legal and organizational basis, cooperative relationship with state agencies in finance, tax, and other state agencies in current audit activities.
 
In the next part of the sharing experience seminar, the representative of SAI Hungary presented the methodological basis of the audit and analysis activities of the Hungarian State Audit Office in operational practices under the IFPP framework (INTOSAI Framework for Professional Pronouncements); analytical activities related to the Fiscal and State Budget Stabilization Council.
 
SAI Vietnam presented auditing techniques and innovations in auditing techniques at the State Audit Office of Vietnam (digitalization, information technology tools, big data, methodological and technological approaches in complex auditing fields).
 
The delegation also attended cultural programs; and visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary./.
