On 22 September 2018, XIV ASOSAI Assembly voted Governing Board (GB) and Auditing Committee (AC) for the period of 2018-2021 in the Second Plenary Session.
On 8 October 2018 Auditing Training Institute opened “Training course on Environmental auditing” with the participation of 40 auditors of the SAV.
From 6 to 8 November 2018, Viet Nam delegation led by Deputy Auditor General Nguyen Tuan Anh participated in the 8th Tripartite Meeting among 3 SAIs of Cambodia, Laos and Viet Nam in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Under the 14th ASOSAI Assembly agenda, the 7th Symposium on "Environmental Auditing for Sustainable Development" took place in Hanoi on 20 September 2018. This is an important agenda item demonstrating the commitment and effort of ASOSAI community in pursuing the UN Sustainable Development Goals and addressing environmental challenges in the region.
The 14th ASOSAI Assembly is seen as a significant political, diplomatic and professional event in Vietnam in 2018. It is not just a vivid reflection of Vietnam’s national foreign policies, but a convincing evidence of maturity and growth of the SAV, as well. Hosting an ASOSAI assembly is set forth as a key target in the SAV Development Strategy to 2020 which was adopted by Vietnam National Assembly’s Standing Committee back to 2010.
