(sav.gov.vn) Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, was elected to be the new Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee for the 2021 – 2026 tenure upon all participant's agreement at the 8th session of the Hanoi Municipal People’s Council meeting on the afternoon of July 22, 2022.

(sav.gov.vn) – Hanoi, July 24, 2022 afternoon, the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) held a Conference to announce the decision of the Politburo and the National Assembly Standing Committee on personnel. Accordingly, the Politburo mobilizes and assigns Mr. Ngo Van Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, term XIII, to resign from the positions of Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and resign from the position of Secretary of the Hoa Binh Provincial People Committee for the 2020-2025 tenure, to appoint the Secretary of the Party Committee of the State Audit Office. At the same time, the National Assembly Standing Committee issues a Resolution appointing Mr. Ngo Van Tuan to hold the position of Deputy Auditor General, in charge of the State Audit Office. The appointment period is 5 years terms from July 24, 2022. On behalf of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue presents the Decision of Politburo and the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee to Mr. Ngo Van Tuan.

In the invitation of the Secretary General and the Chair of the Committee on Knowledge Sharing (KSC) of the ASEAN Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASEANSAI), the State Audit Office of Viet Nam (SAV) has sent delegations to participate in a series of ASEANSAI virtual events from September 8th to 9th, 2020, namely: the first meeting of the Task Force on ASEANSAI legal capacity, the second periodic meeting of ASEANSAI KSC and the INTOSAI Development Initiative - IDI-ASEANSAI Joint Webinar on Strengthening SAI Audits of Sustainable Development Goals Implementation.

The 55th ASOSAI Governing Board virtual meeting took place successfully under the chairmanship of the SAV, the ASOSAI Chairman for the 2018 – 2021 term. Sharing with the press after the meeting, the Auditor General of Vietnam, Dr. Ho Duc Phoc affirmed that the SAV as Chairman of ASOSAI has been step by step making efforts to take on the leading role of ASOSAI in successfully completing the goals of the Strategic Plan during the period 2018 – 2021 and commitments stated in Hanoi Declaration on the environmental audit for sustainable development and sustainable development goals.
