On the morning of September 14th, a delegation from the State Audit Office of Viet Nam (SAV), led by Deputy Auditor-General Bui Quoc Dzung continued their participation in the meeting of the INTOSAI WGBD in the capital city of Cairo, Egypt.
On behalf of SAV's delegation, Mr. Phan Truong Giang, Deputy Chief Auditor of the Specialised Audit Department No. VII cum Head of SAV's Information Technology Application Working Group, delivered his presentation at the meeting.
Continuing the agenda on September 13th, Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) delved into eight registered themes, engaging in presentations and discussions. SAV's delegation presented on the topic of "Application of Data and Data Analysis in the Audit Activities of SAV - Challenges and Difficulties". The presentation aimed to disseminate the current status of data application and analysis within SAV, highlighting the achievements, specific lessons learned, challenges faced, and the future trajectory for the integration of big data into audit activities.
The presentation garnered enthusiastic endorsement and high acclaim from member SAIs, sparking extensive exchanges and discussions. SAIs provided valuable feedback on solutions, directions, and data quality control methodologies. In a spirit of collaboration, SAV shared its experiences and lessons with other member SAIs, fostering the effectiveness of this 7th annual meeting of the Working Group.

In his closing remarks, Deputy Auditor-General Bui Quoc Dzung extended his heartfelt congratulations and profound appreciation for the pivotal role and contributions of SAI China as the Chair of the Working Group, and SAI Egypt as the host for their successful organization of the 7th annual meeting. He conveyed the aspiration for Viet Nam to attain official membership in INTOSAI WGBD and host its 8th annual meeting in 2024. The proposal from SAV’s delegation garnered unanimous support and enthusiastic endorsement from the participating member countries.

Following the discussions, all members of the Working Group unanimously reached a consensus to welcome SAV as an official member of INTOSAI WGBD. They also expressed their strong backing for the proposal to host the 8th meeting in Viet Nam.
In his closing address, the Chair of the Working Group cum Deputy Auditor-General of SAI China, Mr. Wang Benqiang, extended his heartfelt gratitude to the participating members and expressed his appreciation for the invitation of SAV.
