Hosted by the Philippines’s Commission on Audit, Chair of ASEANSAI for the period 2024-2025, the Summit saw the participation of 10 delegations from countries of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
 
The 7th ASEANSAI Assembly, featuring 11 agenda items, witnessed active participation and constructive input from the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of ASEANSAI member countries. The Assembly approved and endorsed various content, including the 2023 Annual Results Report; the Fourth Amendment of ASEANSAI Regulations; the appointment of the SAI Philippines as the new Chair of ASEANSAI, SAI Singapore as the Vice Chair of ASEANSAI; and the appointment and approval of the SAI Thailand as the Auditor of ASEANSAI for 2022 and 2023 financial reports; the supplementary approval of SAI Myanmar as member of the Rules and Procedures and Training Committees for 2024-2025; and the appointment and approval of SAI Indonesia as the long-term Secretary of ASEANSAI for the period from 2024 - 2029.

The Assembly also approved the Work Plan of the Committees for the 2024-2025 period, Memorandum of Understanding with the National Audit Office of Sweden, and endorsed the Budget for the ASEANSAI activities for the 2024-2025 period.

At the Assembly, Ms. Ha Thi My Dung, Deputy Auditor General of the State Audit Office of Vietnam and Chairperson of the Strategic Planning Committee, presented the Action Plan for the years 2024-2025 which aims at achieving Strategic Goal 4.4 on enhancing the supervision of main activities including the development of the ASEANSAI Strategic Plan for 2026-2029, and the developent of the Operation Plan for 2026-2027, the revision and promotion of the implementation of the Monitoring and Evaluation System for the strategic plan and the monitoring and evaluation of ASEANSAI activities.
Ms. Ha Thi My Dung's presentation received unanimous approval from the Assembly. She also represented the Committee for Strategic Plan to confirm that SAI Vietnam would continue to hold the position of Chair of the committee with its members, including the audit institutions of Brunei, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
 
Within the framework of the Assembly, acting on behalf of Deputy Auditor General Ha Thi My Dung, Ms. Le Trinh Mai Huong, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Department, presented the Annual Result Report 2023 for approval.
