Sub-Committee of Reception – Festivity organizes exams to select Liaison Officers for the 14th ASOSAI Assembly in 2018

Based on the Reception – Festivity Sub-committee work plan for the 14th ASOSAI Assembly and the Decision by the Auditor General, a Taskforce is established for selecting liaison officers from SAV and summoning these public servants and employees to attend the exams to be selected as liaison officers for the Assembly. The Examination Team under Sub-Committee directed by Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung – Deputy Director General of ICD, Permanent Deputy Head of the Sub-Committee conducts examinations to select L/O for the 14th ASOSAI Assembly.

The Examination Team conducts the test to select liaison officers in Headquarter of Regional State Audit Office No. VIII on Oct 02, 2017

According to the work plan, the SAV’s staff will attend the examinations organized in 03 venues including Headquarters of Regional State Audit Offices No. VIII (Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa) on Oct 02, 2017, No. IV (Ho Chi Minh City) on Oct 04, 2017 and the State Audit Office (111 Tran Duy Hung, Cau Giay, Hanoi) on Oct 09, 2017.

During the examinations, candidates have to answer all the relevant questions provided by the Examination Team. The Team will score their performance based on 05 main areas, including: English communication capacity (50% of total score), health, appearance, manners and communication skill (25% of total score), the understanding of economic, political, social and historical issues of Vietnam, Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, etc (10% of total score), and knowledge about international and regional public audit institutions and also experiences in international activities (5% of total score).

After the examinations, Sub-Committee of Reception – Festivity will submit a report about the test results to Auditor General, Head of the Organizing Committee in order to select approximately 70 – 80 staffs who meet requirements for being L/O. As planned, together with about 60 student volunteers from Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, they will be provided with practical training courses on diplomatic reception skills and important issues regarding culture, economy, society, people and the State Audit Institutions, etc and also field trips to the venues for the 14th ASOSAI Assembly’s events in 2017 and 2018. As expected, after the training courses, all L/O will be provided with sufficient skills and knowledge to well serve for SAV’s international integration and cooperation activities, aiming at making a great impression for foreign delegates and accompanying persons during their stay in Vietnam for the 14th ASOSAI Assembly from 19 to 22 September 2018.
