The State Audit Office of Viet Nam cordially holds a grand ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary of establishment and is granted the first-class Labor Medal

(sav.gov.vn) - On the morning of July 11, at the National Convention Center in Hanoi, the State Audit Office of Viet Nam (SAV) cordially held a grand ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary (July 11, 1994 - July 11, 2024) and to receive the First-Class Labor Medal.

Attending the ceremony were the following dignitaries: H.E. Tran Thanh Man, Politburo Member and National Assembly Chairman; H.E. Nguyen Sinh Hung, Former Politburo Member and Former National Assembly Chairman; H.E. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Former Politburo Member and Former National Assembly Chairman; H.E. Vuong Dinh Hue, Former Politburo Member and Former National Assembly Chairman; H.E. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Politburo Member and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court; H.E. Dinh Tien Dung, Former Politburo Member, Former Hanoi Party Secretary, and Former Auditor-General; H.E. Le Minh Khai, Central Party Secretary, Deputy Prime Minister, and Former Deputy Auditor-General; and H.E. Nguyen Duc Hai, Central Party Member and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary and receiving the First-Class Labor Medal, the SAV was also honored to receive congratulatory flower baskets from leaders and former leaders of the Party and State: General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; Former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; General To Lam, Politburo Member and President; H.E. Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo Member and Prime Minister; H.E. Tran Thanh Man, Politburo Member and National Assembly Chairman; and H.E. Luong Cuong, Politburo Member and Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat.
 


The ceremony was also attended by representatives from the Central Party Office, Central Party Committees, the Party Committee for Central Agencies, and Central Enterprises. Delegates representing the Presidential Office, National Assembly Office, National Assembly agencies, Government Office, various ministries and agencies, localities directly under the central government, political-social organizations, international organizations based in Viet Nam, academies, schools, credit institutions, corporations, and professional organizations also presented at the ceremony.

Representatives from supreme audit institutions (SAIs) and international organizations included: Mr. Viengthavisone Thephachann, Chairman of the State Audit Organisation of the Lao People's Democratic Republic; Mrs. Som Kim Suor - Auditor General of the National Audit Authority of Cambodia; Ms. Tsakani Maluleke, Auditor-General of the South African Auditor-General's Office; Mr. Gilles Piere Levy, Honorary President of the French Court of Audit; as well as leaders and representatives from the Federal Court of Brazil, the Korean Board of Audit and Inspection, the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia, the National Audit Department of Malaysia, the Saudi Arabian Court of Audit, the National Audit Office of Mongolia, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation, the World Bank, the U.S. Agency for International Development, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
 


Ambassadors and representatives from embassies of countries to Viet Nam also joined the event, such as the embassies of Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, South Africa, Canada, Singapore, Brazil, Mongolia, France, and Malaysia.

From the SAV, the ceremony welcomed Mr. Ngo Van Tuan, Central Party Executive Committee Member and Auditor-General; Mr. Do Binh Duong, Former Central Party Executive Committee Member and Former Auditor-General; Mr. Nguyen Huu Van, Former Central Party Member and Former Auditor-General; as well as Deputy Auditors-General, leaders of the SAV, members of the SAV Party Committee, the SAV Union Executive Committee, the Veterans Association, the Youth Union, leaders of affiliated units, and representatives of the SAV's staff.

The SAV was established by Decree No. 70/CP dated July 11, 1994 by the Government. Over the past 30 years, the SAV has gradually matured and grown stronger, striving to make significant progress and achieve many accomplishments in its areas of activity. Notably, the SAV's legal status has been enshrined in the Constitution 2013, and it has been honored with the First-Class Labor Medal and numerous awards for outstanding individuals and collectives.
 


With pride and honor, on July 11, the SAV held the grand ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary and receive the First-Class Labor Medal, reviewing its comprehensive activities and achievements over the years, addressing limitations, and drawing lessons for future operations.

This occasion also provided the SAV Party Committee and leadership the opportunity to express their gratitude to the Party, State, central departments, ministries, localities, and organizations nationwide for their continuous valuanble support, cooperation, and leadership, which have facilitated the SAV in fulfilling its functions and tasks entrusted by the Party, State, and people.
