On 15 November 2017, Auditor General of Vietnam Mr. Ho Duc Phoc responded to the Accounting and Business Magazine (AB Magazine) of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Phoc is the third Vietnamese being interviewed by AB Magazine.

One representative of ACCA said that the interview was conducted to promote the increasingly important role of SAV in the region. This interview was expected to be released on its New Year 2018 publication to mark the year that SAV will host the 14th ASOSAI Assembly and chair the organisation from 2018-2021.
At the interview, Mr. Bennett Murray, correspondent of AB Magazine and Dr. Phoc questioned and answered about various issues ranging from public finance in Vietnam and the latter’s personal career. Among those, issues relating development potential of Vietnam and the role of SAV in contributing to the development of Vietnam, vision and development plan of SAV in the coming years, relationship of SAV within INTOSAI and ASOSAI in term of human resource training and development, and current challenges to the position of Auditor General in Vietnam were openly discussed in depth.
