The State Audit Office of Viet Nam attends the Global Summit in Georgia

(sav.gov.vn) – From November 14 to 22, a delegation from the State Audit Office of Viet Nam (SAV), led by Deputy Auditor General Ha Thi My Dzung, will undertake an official mission to Georgia and Greece. The delegation will participate in the Global Summit on SAIs audits Contributing to Digitalisation and Sustainability and engage in meetings with the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of Georgia and Greece.

The delegation consists of Mr. Pham Van Hoc, Director General of Specialised Audit Department No. Ia; Mr. Ngo Minh Kiem, Director General of Regional Audit Office No. I; Mr. Duong Quang Chinh, Director General of Region Audit Office No. II; Mr. Nguyen Duc Sy, Director General of Region Audit Office No. V; Mr. Tran Duc Lam, Deputy Director General of the Personnel Department; Mr. Tran Tri Thanh, Deputy Director General of the General Affairs Department; and Ms. Lang Trinh Mai Huong, Deputy Director General of the International Cooperation Department.

On November 14 and 15, the SAV delegation will be holding a meeting with the Auditor General of Georgia. This meeting is expected to provide an opportunity for both SAIs to present their respective SAIs and highlight recent significant audit outcomes, and discuss the future cooperation.

On November 15, the delegation will be having a visit to the Adjara region to learn about the area and its recent audit results. Mr. Ngo Minh Kiem will also present the audit practices and recent audit results of the SAV Regional Audit Office No. I.

On November 18 and 19, SAV delegation will be participating in the Global Summit on SAIs audits Contributing to Digitalisation and Sustainability. The participating SAI leaders will discuss the vital role of leadership in ensuring that SAIs align with digitalization and sustainable development efforts. The leaders will also be engaging in in-depth discussions on national trends and how SAI leadership ensures their relevance to these evolving trends.

Key topics to be covered at the summit include: Demostrating value by contributing to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDGs); Uniting voices for an equal future: Why does a focus on equality and inclusion matter in SAI Audits; Creating a global picture of SAIs contribution to SDG implementation, follow-up and review; Auditing for a liveable planet; The impact of digitalisation: Addressing challenges and seizing opportunities for SAIs

Notably, SAV delegation will be meeting with the President of the Hellenic Court of Audit (HCA) at the its headquarters in Athens on November 21 and 22. This meeting will provide an opportunity for both SAIs to introduce their work and achievements in recent audits, and to discuss prospects for future collaboration.

Furthermore, the two SAIs will be holding a roundtable discussion on audit emerging areas with significant social and economic impacts, such as environmental audits, climate change, and the SDGs. Experts from both SAIs will be presenting in-depth discussions on these topics and engaging in dialogues about related challenges.

On November 22, Deputy Auditor General Ha Thi My Dzung and the delegation will be paying a visit Thessaloniki, Greece to have a meeting with leaders of the HCA’s Regional Audit Office to discuss recent audit outcomes. Mr. Duong Quang Chinh will be presenting the audit results of SAV’s Regional Audit Office No during this session.
