(sav.gov.vn) – As part of the 2024 International Cooperation Plan, a delegation from the State Audit Office of Viet Nam (SAV) participated in a training course on information technology (IT) auditing at the National Audit Office of China from December 16 to 21.
The delegation, comprising 12 officials and auditors, was led by Mr. Phan Truong Giang, Deputy Director General of Specialised Audit Department No. VII and Head of the IT Working Group of SAV.
On the morning of December 16, the training course officially commenced at the Nanjing Audit Institute, China. Sponsored and organized by the National Audit Office of China, the intensive five-day program included nine practical modules focusing on the application of IT and big data analytics in public sector auditing.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Gao Tianyu, Deputy Director General of the International Cooperation Department of the National Audit Office of China, welcomed the Delegation, expressed his delight at the growing cooperation between the two institutions, and emphasized the importance of IT application and digital transformation in public sector auditing.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Phan Truong Giang expressed heartfelt gratitude to the National Audit Office of China and the Nanjing Audit Institute for their warm reception and thorough preparation for the training course. He commended the university’s modern facilities, the experienced faculties, and the scientific, practical, and tailored training contents that meet the needs of SAV.
During the course, participants will engage with prominent topics such as IT application in public auditing, standardization of audit data services, smart environmental audit practices, and the development of a 2.0 public investment audit platform. Alongside theoretical sessions, the delegation will take part in cultural and field activities, including a visit to the Yuhuatai District Audit Office and discussions at the Nanjing Audit Institute.
This training course not only provides an opportunity to enhance professional knowledge and skills but also strengthens the effective cooperation and friendship between the two institutions. It marks a significant step forward in modernizing public sector auditing and sharing experience between SAV and the National Audit Office of China, contributing to the mutual benefits of both organisations.
