Between 28 February and 1 March 2019, the ACCA’s 9th International Public Conference: “A sustainable public sector” hosted by the ACCA was held in Prague, Cezch Republic. The attending delegation of the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) was headed by Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Auditor General.
There were about 400 participants representing many public sectors such as the Finance Ministry of Czech Republic, the Ministry of Justice and HM Treasury of the United Kingdom, the Ministry of Justice of Ireland, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam, and the World Bank.
The four main themes at the conference are innovation in public sector in the era of digitalization, the role of supreme audit institutions in promoting public sector sustainability, challenges of frauds and organized crimes, and public finance and implementationg of international standards.
In addition, the SAV’s delegation had bilateral meetings with SAIs of Cezch Republic, Nepal, Pakistan and Jamaica. At these meeting, these SAIs had a high opinion of the success of the 14th ASOSAI Assembly hosted in Hanoi and also strongly believed that the SAV, in the capacity of the ASOSAI Chair for the period 2018-2021, will make significant contributions to the development of the ASOSAI community.
