(sav.gov.vn) – Hanoi, July 24, 2022 afternoon, the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) held a Conference to announce the decision of the Politburo and the National Assembly Standing Committee on personnel. Accordingly, the Politburo mobilizes and assigns Mr. Ngo Van Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, term XIII, to resign from the positions of Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and resign from the position of Secretary of the Hoa Binh Provincial People Committee for the 2020-2025 tenure, to appoint the Secretary of the Party Committee of the State Audit Office. At the same time, the National Assembly Standing Committee issues a Resolution appointing Mr. Ngo Van Tuan to hold the position of Deputy Auditor General, in charge of the State Audit Office. The appointment period is 5 years terms from July 24, 2022. Speaking at the Conference, Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized that in order to ensure the continuous and unified leadership at the State Audit Office, the Politburo has decided to mobilize and assign Comrade Ngo Van Tuan, member of the Party Central Committee resigned from the positions of Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, resigned from the position of Secretary of Hoa Binh Provincial People Committee, term XV to appoint the Secretary of the State Audit Party's Personnel Committee in place of Mr. Tran Sy Thanh.
"Mr. Tuan is a well-trained cadre who has been working in various positions with rich practical experiences at the Ministry of Finance, the Central Economic Commission and Hoa Binh province. Mr. Tuan is a competent and moral one who always strives to rise up, quickly adapts to working conditions; ready to take on and fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party and State. Mr. Tuan will be introduced to the National Assembly to elect for the position of Auditor General at the 4th Session, scheduled at October 2022" said Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue. "The assignment of new tasks to Mr. Tuan present the high appreciation of the Party's and State's on his capability and prestige and confidence that Mr. Tuan will successfully fulfil the assigned tasks" the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.

According to Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, the State Audit is an audit body of public finances and assets, which plays an important role in ensuring the sustainable development, transparency of the national finance, and improving the efficiency of management and usage of national resources, actively contributing to the practice of thrift, combating wastefulness, and fighting against corruption and negativity. The year 2022 is the pivotal one of the 5-year term, the 2021-2025 tenure. Therefore, the Chairman requested Mr. Tuan to quickly grasp the status of State Audit, drastically implement the assigned functions, focus on the key tasks. Especially, attention need to be pay on capacity improvement, effectiveness, efficiency, quality, process and standards in auditing activities under the theme of "Independence, Integrity, Professionalism, Prestige, Quality"; strengthen the application of information technology and digital transformation in the organization and operation; fullfil the requirement of publicity and transparency in audit activities and audit results as stated by law.
Speaking with the new role, Mr. Ngo Van Tuan express his thanks to the trust and confidence of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly Standing Committee and agencies with emphasize on his great honor as well as great responsibility in front of the Party, State and collective cadres, civil servants and employees of the State Audit.
Mr. Tuan shared that "With 28 years of establishment and development, State Audit has affirmed its role and position with critical contributions to the country as a whole. This is a big challenge and pressure to me. Therefore, in the coming time, we would like to continuously receive the constant direct and support from the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and the Chairman of the National Assembly in person; with the coordination and support from Ministries, Departments, Central and local bodies, and especially the sharing of officers in State Audit in order to fulfil the taks assigned by the Party and State at my best", said Mr Tuan

Just before, the Politburo has decided Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Party Committee of the State Audit resigning from the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the State Audit Party, to mobilize and assign the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee for the 2020-2025 tenure and recommending to the People's Council of Hanoi for electing to the position of Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee for the 2021-2026 tenure.
