On 2 March 2009, in Hanoi, the Auditor General of the State Audit Office of Vietnam Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue and the Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation Mr. Sergey Stepashin signed the joint audit report on VIETSOPETRO Petroleum Joint Venture Enterprise. Heads of the two SAIs agreed that this was the first time the two SAIs conducted a joint audit with the approval by the Vietnamese Government and the Russian Government, opening up perspectives for effective cooperation in government audit activities between the two nations in the coming time.
