A solemn opening ceremony of the INCOSAI – 23 was held with the presence of President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, representative of the Federatio Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chair of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and Mayor of Moscow.
Between 28 February and 1 March 2019, the ACCA’s 9th International Public Conference: “A sustainable public sector” hosted by the ACCA was held in Prague, Cezch Republic. The attending delegation of the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) was headed by Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Auditor General.

A delegation of the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) headed by Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Auditor General, will join the ACCA’s 9th International Public Sector Conference from 28 February to 1 March 2019.
After the success of the 14th ASOSAI Assembly in Vietnam, the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) became the ASOSAI Chair for the period 2018-2021. This is not only an honor but a great challenge to the SAV since this was the first time that it took the leading role of a regional organization of supreme audit institutions.
To implement its Strategic Plan 2016 – 2021, the ASOSAI organized the online training course for the ASOSAI trainers from 15 April to 12 July 2019. Ms. Vu Thi Thanh Hai – IDI-certified ISSAI facilitator was assigned by the SAV to join the course.
The 14th Assembly of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI), which took place in Vietnam from September 19-22, has adopted the 12th ASOSAI Research Project on “Auditing the implementation of SDGs” in line with INTOSAI’s orientation on the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda 2030. According to the ASOSAI’s practice, the 12th ASOSAI Research Project has been carried out for the 2018 – 2021 period. A research team will be established in order to make plans, organize discussion meetings, develop documents guiding the implementation of audit and draft progress reports for submiting to the ASOSAI Governing Board. Currently, there are 14 participating SAIs, including Saudi Arabia, India, Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Jordan, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, Turkey, China and Vietnam.

In the framework of its Capacity Building Program for the period of 2016-2018, Asian Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions – ASOSAI has organised a Capacity Development Program on “IT Audit” of 2018-2019 which started from 26 February 2018 and scheduled to last until 10 May 2019. The Program was designed to equip the participants with necessary knowledge and skills in the IT audit strand, using blended approach which combines e-Learning training and on-the-job training. By the end of the Program, the participants are expected to acquire the delivered knowledge and be competent to conduct an IT audit in compliance with ISSAI and audit reporting requirements.
On 17 September 2018,Vietnamese Auditor General Mr. Ho Duc Phoc had an official meeting with Malaysian Auditor General Madinah Binti Mohamad at the headquarter of SAV office in Hanoi.
